    Same as any car Mike, I have personally found Peugeot/Citroen to be reliable apart from the odd thing over the last 20+ years but like every car you can get a bad one, my last German car had loads of faults and left me stranded more than once and after more than half a dozen attempts at fixing still went back at the end of the lease without being fixed, I’m on my 4th one on the scheme from the PSA group and honestly haven’t had anything major go wrong (a Bosch battery failed but that’s German engineering for you).

    On the other hand I would never get another Renault, too many problems to list and just looking online would steer me clear these days.

    When people slag French cars off what they fail to take into account is nearly all the components in today’s cars are made by 3rd parties and are the same in whatever brand you choose, you don’t think Mercedes manufactures the micro-switch that operates their electric windows do you? It used to be shoddy build quality that generally let them down but these days they are all very close really.
