Hi Whichmobility people I’m new to the scheme, haven’t driven since 2018 as had some bad health and have ended up with a damaged right leg. we have two kids and a zafira at the moment but i can’t drive it , love the huge boot. really want another huge boot car 600 litres and above. Only problem is the AP and confusion over the grants, initially thought a skoda kodiaq, petrol and need automatic as I need a left foot accelerator adaptation. Will they just offer me something else seen as the AP is £1845. ideally probably a low sill and lots of leg room is ideal for me, im pretty tall with long legs. thanks for any advice
If you want a huge boot with a low entry, if you can can cope with its somewhat van-type looks, have you considered the Vauxhall Combo Life which in automatic guise starts at £699 on the scheme. It is the same vehicle as the Citroen Berlingo/Peugeot Rifter just differently badged and cheaper than the Berlingo on the scheme.
Boot space is 770 litres, trumping pretty much every other five-seat MPV on the scheme. Fold the rear seats down and this expands to a total load capacity of 3,000 litres.
The seven-seater which has a starter AP of £749, used in 5 seat configuration gives a boot space over 1,000 litres!
Despite its looks, many road tests say it doesn’t handle like a van and gives you all the boot space you would ever need.
