Look at Alfred the Great – son of Aethelwulf, with older brothers Aethelstan, Aethelbold, Aethelberht and Aethelred, plus sister Aethelswith – not to be confused with his wife Ealhswith (daughter of Aethelred, a lord of neighbouring Mercia) or their daughters Aethelflaed (who married Aethelred, king of Mercia), Aethelgifu, Aethelweard and Aelfthryth.
