After returning to work after the Covid, we were instructed by our accounts department that we must take Advance Payments from customers prior to Taxing (the old system of paying on Delivery day is no longer an option)
If you prefer to inspect the car before payment, I will have it ready for you, if you’re happy I can then take payment & have it taxed whilst you are in the showroom.
Motability says:
Thank you for contacting us today. In regards to paying the Advance Payment (AP) this needs to be paid before entering the PIN number.
Each dealership will have their pwn rules with accepting the payments. Due to some payments not clearing in time, the dealer may request the payment sooner than the handover date.
You would need to speak with the dealership about this. Apologies that we have no control over the decisions made by the dealership.
