Thought I’d revive this thread.
I’ve previously reported achieving 66 MPG on a 150’ish mile round trip. We’ve just deposited our son in Manchester to his Uni residency and on a 140 mile round trip, my 18d X1 achieved 63.something MPG.
Trouble is, I forgot to take a picture. ?? but I promise that’s what it was.
On the way there, I drove in Comfort Mode, we had three stops and on the way back, I drove some of the way (~30 miles) in Eco Pro Mode. I managed this, also, with three stops.
The traffic was usual Manchester driving, so slow but steady and there was a 50MPH average speed stretch on the M56 that moved steadily. (Probably helped tbh)
I certainly wasn’t driving in Hyper-Mile’er Mode with my right foot and am confident that if I did, I’d have hit 66 MPG again.
Not too shabby eh?
If only I could transplant this engine into my new car (three weeks and counting)! ?
