I have a mitsubishi asx, it might be slightly higher than your £1000 but it’s a really good car and my husband is tall but it has so much room and actually comes with quite a lot of extras. It’s comfortable and being a tall man the height would be good for you to get in and out of. It is really easy to drive also, I don’t have much use of my legs and can’t really turn without pain but it’s a dream to drive as it’s so light and the seat height is great. Mitsubishi only take a few weeks to get the car as they are in the UK already also. And if you can’t afford the AP but the car is a necessity i.e you need auto contact the grants team as they will help you and can pay for the adaptions needed and the AP so you can get on the road again. I’ve been a motability customer for 13 years and didn’t know they existed until this time and the process was simple and fast and the staff were lovely so it’s an option you can explore.
