Ha ha, Macca, goes into limp mode and needs redesigned parts in the engine to stop it. The new (at the time 2014/15) D4 engine was notorious for it and loads were affected by this. Most on the Volvo forum that purchased at the same time as we did suffered from it, and did not go on to purchase an xc60 next time round.
This year on the forum it happened to someone (out of guarantee) but they managed to get Volvo to pay for it! We didn’t want to take the risk, so reluctantly let Sheila go! Was a tearful goodbye as it was the best car we had ever had, and very comfy.
Decided at that time to go down Motability, and got Ruby the Leon, but next will be an xc40 if it’s still there in December when we can order.
