You could argue that the £67.25 careers allowance a week for providing 24/7 care isn’t exactly great either. It’s also a deductible benefit I.e. it’s deducted from your income support / universal credit.
Pretty sure it would cost an awful lot more than that for professional care but what can you do other then be grateful that you get something to help.
