There wasn’t an EV for me on the scheme so I went for the happy medium of a PHEV. It gives me two cars for the price of one, all be it an expensive price. I’ve been driving back and forth to the supermarket in E mode using the battery alone just like and EV. When I had to drive and hour and a half to pick up my daughter I used the hybrid mode allowing me the range to do that journey and return home with long recharge times. Not only does it do that my Superb can tow a caravan (not me), it can get five adults a Labrador and my new powerchair inside. To me it’s the best of both worlds.
