It’s going to be interesting to find out what accessories have to be approved when they phone me. It indicates that any have to be approved so phone holder, 12v adapter, floor mats… air freshener? I knew they wouldn’t allow a hard wired dash cam as I asked them a while ago but even if you plug one in the 12v socket it would need approving.
No way you must be miss reading the terms of the agrreement, if you plug something into to 12v socket that was factory fitted then that item is not covered under the insurance and if it got lost, broken or stolen it would not be covered by rsa.. where as the 12v socket is.
If the 12v socket breaks it will be replaced at the dealers. probally under warranty, if you was to retro fit another 12v socket or usb or dash cam that would not be covered by rsa.. But i can plug my mobile into the 12v socket and use it as a camera or connect a dash cam to it, but nothing belonging to us in the car except us physically is covered for loss or damage.
