It will almost always be a better deal Andy due to their VAT exemption.
However if you don’t do 20k miles a year you can get some better deals with private leasing companies on certain cars.
My private lease is more expensive than Motability as my car is way outside of any of their caps plus I only had to pay an AP of around £1k.
