I’m on the brink of cancelling my Mercedes order from December. I had a phone call from the dealer yesterday saying that I need to change my colour choice in order to get one faster and that they can’t see me getting my choice of car for at least another 3 months! I just thought that when you place an order, they then place the order with the factory and you get a build date……WRONG. They say that the UK gets an allocation and for this month the model and spec of my car, for example, the UK has 3 cars allocated between all the dealerships. Ive been given 3 colour choices but I don’t like any of them and am thinking of just cutting my losses and choosing something else but I’m worried that in Q3 the prices will be much higher.
