It’s a non news story really .
With my Volvo XC40 on-call app, I can lock/ unlock the car, start the engine, cool it down in hot weather, heat it up in cold weather, send an address remotely to the satnav, check the overall fuel consumption, the tank range and the best bit, check the mpg for any and every trip I’ve done in the last 100 days. It also tells me oil level, washer fluid level, how long till next workshop visit etc
Oh and if I’m stupid enough to lose the car the app will tell me exactly where it is..
Might also be quite useful when it goes in for a service don’t you think? ?
By the way, if you do start the car remotely, it remains securely locked, so no fears that some passing thief will jump in and drive away!
