We went for the Inscription, Denim Blue with blonde interior.
Tried an R Design Pro with 19″ wheels but found it noisy at motorway speeds due to road roar.
The R Design has firmer sportier suspension settings but still rides well by all accounts.
The electric leather seats were the deciding factor for us.
We’re getting 32 mpg overall (T4) with 40.4 on a recent 170 mile trip in Comfort mode with cruise set at 76 one way and 71 the other. I don’t often bother with Eco mode often as I can get good results in Comfort mode and Eco really blunts acceleration.
I reckon it will cost us around £200 per year more in fuel compared to our previous Audi Q3 1.4 TFSi auto, which is nothing given how the XC40 is a step up.
However the leather seats, while comfortable, do not hold you so well compared to the sports seats in the Q3. The R Design’s more bolstered seats may be better in this respect.
