If your car has been reliable and you haven’t personally bent it around a lamp post then there’s a lot to be said for buying the car you’ve driven from new.
Even thought it might be a similar price to others at a franchised dealer, you really have no idea how they have been driven.
We bought a 3.5 year old ex-mobility Citroen as a run around. It’s fine, but it’s definitely had a paint job on the front wing. We bought it in the middle of winter so it was difficult to see at the time, but in the bright sunlight it’s obviously not the original paint.
