Bright, cheerful, sunny and warm (out of the insistent wind!). Also get woodpeckers, Georgie. Great spotted likes to hammer away at large cherry tree and green chap lives up to the “Yaffle” name – mad, loud call can really startle a chap even from 30-40m away! Haven’t seen small (pied?) variety in garden, but do sometimes get nuthatch passing through. Aslo heard cuckoo yesterday – first time in all the five or so years since we’ve been here.
