Reply To: Tesco fantastic service

    Hi all

    In general, must say the same re Tesco. Their products are marvellous quality, staff at my local megastore are really brilliant – friendly, knowledgeable, sense of humour etc. But in this crisis I feel a bit let down: Mrs T is over 70 and on govt list of “Clinically Extremely Vulnerable” so going to a shop just is not on for either of us. She’s been on list for over two weeks now but we’ve heard nothing from Tesco. Pretty poor, given that we spend a good few grand with them over a year. Phoning helpline impossible; emails get standard tick-boxer acknowledgement. Still not on home delivery list.

    Waitrose is the same – totally impossible to get a meaningful reply.

    Asda, however, are excellent. Contacted us day after she went on list. Offered regular once-a-week home delivery. Seems they have Real People on staff too, not just tick-boxers – I sent an email thanking them and got a personal reply, sent over Easter hols, from their CEO!
