Phaedra – So glad to hear that dental issues have hopefully been resolved.  I have a not-entirely-solid crown that’s come off twice in the last 18 months, so I fully appreciate the anxiety.  Finger crossed our teeth will behave.

As for prescriptions: I’m not allowed to have paracetamol on prescription, even though I need a heck of a lot of it (Dr: “We don’t give prescriptions for things you can buy at any supermarket”; Me – “Have YOU tried getting paracetamol from a supermarket recently?”  I’ve been ordering 2 boxes (the max I can order – HA! = that covers 2 days out of 7 when my back starts griping) every week for the last month and they NEVER HAVE ANY IN STOCK.  I’m now down to my last 2 boxes.  I have to keep a stockpile due to the ‘maximum 2 boxes’ rule, which kinda makes a mockery of the whole ‘limited access’ myth, don’t cha think?  My only option is hitting the co-codamol, which I hate taking unless it’s absolutely necessary (i.e. when my spine actually slips out of alignment) due to the side-effects.

    Anywho . . .

On another note: The DH’s car is supposedly getting picked up by the Leasing Company next week, so DH gave it a final clean and we went for a blast – I mean ‘We went to the supermarket to try to get some paracetamol, Ociffer’ (which was true enough – we actually went to the nearest 2 supermarkets in a vain quest.)  We just came home afterwards along the completely empty A3 at a ‘brisk rate’ – the briskest rate that car has ever gone, certainly.

<cue swell of deeply moving music>

So – Farewell, immaculate condition Audi TT quattro in Scuba Blue with less than 4k on the clock.  You were a perfectly behaved beauty and you served us well.  We shall never see your like again.  You will be missed.

    I really liked that car.
