Joss – Madam T and I fully understand. Deepest sympathy – the whole “Patient Access” system is well buggered. Just trying to sign on and enter details is bad enough.

Our system separates “ordinary” drugs from CDs or Controlled Drugs like Tramadol or Diazepam. The latter always show as “rejected” on request even when they are accepted. Have to check re-order date to confirm. Then they must be passed physically, as a bit of paper, to pharmacist, not electronically. Rather defeats the object.

When they finally reach pharmacist, they get lost and must be reordered. Bonkers. Tried to tell Patient Access people (not the GPs folks). Waste of time. Just a set of box-tickers.

Another problem here is an item on prescription list can change to wrong version of drug with no warning.  No-one at GPs knows how this happens – at least that’s what they say. How to get it corrected? Well, you MUST write a letter to the Doc! Well, THAT’s making great use of our supercomputerised internettery!
