i enjoy cruises, went a lot when the wife was alive, have started again recently as i cant handle long haul flights. have done a couple of 28 nighters down to the carribean and back. very relaxing but not cheap.
used to enjoy las vegas, big kids disney land and they started direct flights a few years ago which made it much easier, it used to mean at least 2 flights to get there so you were travelling for 24hrs. direct flights between 9.5 and 10.5 hours. so not possible for me any more.
as a single destination i did enjoy a couple of weeks in antigua very relaxing and very reasonable.
narrow boat holidays but couldnt do the locks now.
