Many years ago when these car we worth virtually nothing, I paid £400 for a 1964 Mk 1 Lotus Cortina (it was a basket case, but I loved it), £800 for a 1966 a nice Mk 1 Lotus Cortina and £500 for a RS2000 which need a lot of welding work. Shame they would be worth a fortune now, however, in reality they were unreliable, bone shakers and we look back through rose tinted spectacles.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
