I live on a farm high up in the Yorkshire Dales and yesterday was the busiest day I have ever seen on the local roads. They were full of tourists. Absolute madness.
My brother and sister-in-law run a B&B in both the farmhouse and a converted barn on the other side of the farm. They also have a campsite across two fields. They have closed the B&B and campsite due to Coronavirus, but it hasn’t stopped them being inundated with people making phone enquiries or even knocking on the door and asking for rooms/pitches. All receive a very stern lecture from sis-in-law and told very firmly that the B&B and campsite are closed and are staying closed for the duration.
