Philjb, I don’t think DVLA would do that given data protection rules now. The garage told me it was a motability car and I have checked online and discovered that when they acquired it, and then 4 months later when I bought it the mileage had increased by 1700 miles, so would suggest to me they had been using it either as courtesy car or just themselves, and perhaps damage occurred then and they left it as is now, so no record would show of any claim. And I would think if it was a motability car it would have been serviced. There are also no advisories showing on mot’s done, which I find strange, since same garage I got it from did the last mot in October last year. The damage has been there before I bought it, so why not advise on mot or when I bought it. It’s just not fair
