Personally acc imo is a god send, it’s actually made driving easier for me especially in traffic with an auto (low speed follow) it’s not the same with a manual, but you do need to know how acc works but you can override it at anytime then resume it by pressing the button like cruise control. Then you can abuse it like i do… from 0mph to whatever away from the lights at the push of a button.. london and back on the motorway is no longer a problem messing about with standard cruise control, just don’t cut it after having acc..  it’s a must for me.. it’s a real big driving aid.

if some one cuts in 99% it’s ok the car will brake.. now i just aim at those cars so the radar picks them up 100% and once they move over again the car will resume the set speed. all i do is steer and change lane most of the time, my next car has lane keep assist and acc and pick that up next month

acc actually cause’s me less stress driving and alot less pain than any other car without acc but i get it’s not for everyone.. I think you need to be a confident driver to use it and trust it.. and i guess judge and feel what the car is doing and know it’s perimeters.
