I had Adaptive CC on my previous car, VW Golf, and only used it twice for a few minutes and just couldn’t get used to it and I couldn’t help having my foot hovering over the brake as to me it always seem to brake a bit late for my liking.
The distant between you and the car in front could be adjusted but with our over crowded roads if it was too long a gap on motorways cars would just butt into the gap having me jumping for the brake. To be fair I didn’t give myself a chance to get use to it and didn’t help that the controls were on the left-hand side of the steering wheel so I have to let go of the wheel to adjust it or turn it on and off because of my disability.
I know there’s loads on here who love ACC but its not something on my short list and even though I have standard CC on my current car I’ve never ever switched it on.
