The pedant in me just had a thought…
It isn’t an Immaculate Condition Bonus, it’s a GOOD condition bonus. Maybe that’s the point – a car can have minor damage and still be considered to be in good condition for a 3 year old car…
It opens up the possibility of having a VERY good condition premium but it’d be subjective, would require additional work and additional costs as a result and really, would only cost Motability money as they only get top value for a car if they sell it back to it’s lease-holder – there’s no way the dealers are paying full book value for them, and those that go to auction DEFINITELY don’t get full book.
I think they need to revise the prices they ask former lease-holders to pay as I have no doubt at all that they get a LOT less than they ask us for when they move the cars on…
