Sadly the only definite answer you’ll get is from the dealer. Manufacturers are always promoting how fast they work and build but this part of the new car process is not good. I cannot believe after two months that the order is not live in their MRP system. If it is, it will be showing a due date. Try once more and if no joy from your salesman, ask to speak to the Dealer Principal.
Not impossible, though, that the order was messed up or even parts from China causing an issue.
Do you know if Peugeot run a customer order tracker? Might be worth asking about one.
