    Thanks everyone and in particular Joss. The MP idea is a great one. I’ll definitely get on to that.

    It just seems that by getting no financial aid as a carer and now to have my car taken away it’s as if they’re trying to make it really difficult for me to care for my mother at all. The measly £59 a week carers or whatever it used to be isn’t much anyway really is it?

    Imagine what it would cost the government if I wasn’t here!

    Also you would think motability would consider the carer themselves in all of this. If I am a primary carer in this situation surely it is beneficial to both me and my mum for us to get out of each others hair occasionally. This is just bizarre and outright wrong imo but at the same time I understand the reasonings behind it.
