If you think about how the secondhand car prices will be affected by the change from 2040 to 2035 & the inclusion of hybrids in that, pure EVs should start to retain a greater value as they have been doing over the last year or so, and the fossil cars including the hybrids should rapidly fall away in value as people start to realise that in the early 2030s petrol stations will start to become a rarity & all those old fossil cars built in 2020 will start to become a massive liability.
