Slade and BCRs a bit late for me. More Beatles, Stones, Moodies etc. Only recently got interested in H Hermits when I bought a CD of a mix of 60s stuff which had a couple of their numbers on it. No Milk Today and Silhouettes. Struck me as neatly made, quite clever little pop songs so bought the CD. They did some seriously odd stuff – pop versions of I’m ‘Enery the Eighth I Am and Mrs Brown You’re Got a Lovely Daughter both of which are more Old Tyme Musical Hall than 60s pop. Weird, eccentric so it must be good!
