I had an MG Maestro as a boy racer…I’d like to say its because I am eclectic and support British industry etc etc, but really, its because it was only £750 and not the £1500 for a same age Escort/Golf. It must’ve been sporty, it had red seatbelts!
I had a blast with it, it had really close gear ratios, so went like stink on A & B roads.
