Apart from the obvious Docs, Hospitals, Dentist, etc –
The sea, the sea and the sea. It keeps me sane. Mostly either Southsea or West Beach, Hayling Island because I can park right next to the beach and sit in my car with the windows down.
Up to Oxford to see mum, sister and brother once a month. Down to Portsmouth to see other brother and his family twice a year
Sainsbury’s once every six weeks to pick up a few bits and pieces that Waitrose doesn’t carry (W. groceries get delivered once a week) – self-checkout because I can’t stand in till queues.
Otherwise – anywhere I can drive to without having to get out of the car. I just love going where I want to go, in my own time, without having to rely on someone else for a change.
Before my spine packed up and I had to give up the bike I rode, literally, from Lands End to John o’ Groats, all around Scotland, all around Wales, and all around most of Britain. A tent and 3 changes of clothes and off I’d go. Now I can’t even get the car off the drive without help.
