I would simply tell the dealer “Change it or cancel it.” Depending on where you are in the country, there are deals being offered by VW dealers all over the place so IF you didn’t get any kind of offer or discount on your order in the first place, you may even end up saving money.
If your order is only a week old, cancelling and ordering elsewhere won’t add much time to your delivery date, and there is nothing stopping you changing your servicing dealer, so even IF you end up ordering elsewhere, you can still use the closest dealer for your ongoing servicing needs.
