I do about 6000 miles a year with our Ford Kuga 2.0 diesel powershift we have had no problems but 40+ mpg, the Tiguan is a bit heavy for the petrol 1.5 around town you will have to give some welly to keep up with the traffic, the 2,0 petrol is quite thirsty ,personally I would stay with the diesel it is a very clean engine.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
