Which salesperson did you deal with?
I have recently put an order for a new Tiguan R Line on the motability scheme at the Lawley Middleway dealership.
I was reluctantly given £100 off when I mentioned that I knew someone who got £250 off at the Solihull branch.
You are correct they did not entertain any discussion regarding any discounts because it was a motability car and they “dont make much money” from them.
I Specified Emergency assist as an optional extra however was advised not to add any further extras as again it is just a motability car (which I thought was a little weird).
The salesperson I had was nice enough however you could tell he was processing the deal as quick as possible so he could then sell a “normal” vehicle not on the scheme and make some actual money.
Also just to advise you, when I was at the dealership which was early December I was shown a chart of builds which were for this dealership and there were quite a few slots in the first few weeks of January, so hopefully your vehicle will be on one of those slots.
Mine is due the end of March (allegedly) with estimated build date of 202012, which does not correlate.
By reading this forum and the delays people have had I’ll be lucky to receive it before the end of the year!! Haha.
