I have said it before – after the ‘experience’ of growing up in the People’s Republic of South Wales, which is totally dominated politically by Labour ( the old saying of pin a red rose on a donkey and it’ll get elected is true ) ,I will never vote Labour!
Our democracy needs a good solid opposition party to keep the government of the day in check, but we haven’t had that, we have gone through 2 – 3 years of misguided opposition for the sake of it, simply for narrow minded political gain and expediency, with no thought for the electorate – but traditional Labour voters have proven that they are not so easily taken in, hence the worst electoral result for Labour for many years!
Corbyn was a danger to the Uk and people knew it, he and his gang of trots were a World away from traditional Labour, now he’s a bad joke, and Thornbury, Starmer, Long Bailey are tainted by him, and Angela Raynor is incapable of holding down this type of job – each of them would be cannon fodder for Boris and his team, really easy meat, and that would be letting the country down?
The very best candidate of all is Caroline Flint who is not in Parliament at present, but an early ( voluntary stepping down ) bi-election could solve that one, or perhaps they could look at someone like Kinnock , or persuade David Milliband? , none of whom is tainted by Corbynism?
We need a clean break from Corbyn and Momentum, otherwise this once decent party will be assigned to the Bin of history!
