Thank you for your reply. I took a look at the Screw Fix link and that looks like great glue. I will purchase some of that this week and let you know how I get on. One question, does the spray part of the product has a wide area of spray as I don’t want to get any of it on the paintwork of the car, I guess I would need to mask it off to be sure. The rubber strip is held onto a piece of metal that is attached to the door and there is no signs of rust at all, maybe it’s made of aluminum?
After using the glue to stick the strip back on. After a few days or so, do you think I will be risking it by using a car wash or is it better to go to a hand wash (I am unable to do it myself because of my disabilities)
