Dsg version gone manual still on

Probably as there’s a new version with an new gearbox coming next year so I believe.
When I last visited vw a service bod was telling me an 8:speed Dsg box will be on facelifted cars? Also the new golf R and top spec cars.
But I don’t know it for a fact, but it’s a real shame it’s been removed.
Not aware of any new DSG boxes coming to market, models maybe, from the VAG group, they abandoned the 10 gear DSG box a year or so ago for being too expensive and too complicated or over complicated.
I’ve read that 50% of Tiguan sold in Europe are DSG and the All-Space version is 90% DSG and could explain why the All-Space seem like a good deal for DSG drivers if the prices haven’t gone up.
Can’t check Q4 price as the Motability site keeps going down, wonder why… ?
If automatic versions of cars get dropped while manual version remain it’s just another one in the eye for disabled drivers.
What do I know, didn’t know about the 8 speed version, maybe because I’m happy with the 7 speed box. ?
Chris I’ve just looked on line and the American market mentions a new 8 speed DSG box coming in 2020.
vw Dsg cars have been a bargain on the scheme for a while now, loosing them is kick in the nuts to us who need an auto.
I have one on order so I hope it turns up!!

Winston how good are the led headlights
I’ve always liked the look of the R line since it was released, but it’s been a bit of a slow burner getting used to it, feeling comfortable with it etc, but it’s def warming up now ??
I’m a big lover of lights Dave, whether it’s the led bulbs in my house or the solar lights in my tiny garden lol
My previous Audi had full Led lights which I loved, both sitting behind the wheel and how they added to the overall aesthetic of the car
And these ones do not disappoint one bit, it’s like driving a lighthouse ? and now they are more advanced and can shade parts of the beam from oncoming traffic whilst still having the full beam on to light up the rest of the road, plus the usual cornering lights etc
They really are magic ??
If I coukd change anything it would be the rears so they pulse/swish like the dynamic ones in my old Audi
But u can’t have everything ??
