Hi all, I can order my new car on Sunday and am likely to go with the Mini Countryman Monochrome. However, I’ve been looking at the specs I found on Mini website on the Countryman SE All4 Classic, currently on the scheme at £499, which says it has heated steering wheel and importantly for me, heated seats. But the model page seems to show just the heated steering wheel.

Has anyone got a new All4 Classic that can confirm which of these are correct, basically does it have heated seats as well as a heated steering wheel?

Heated seats and heated steering wheel are not standard on the SE, they come as part of the level one pack.

Heated seats are standard on the Monochrome.

Current car: Mini Countryman EV in very shiny black!

Previous car: MG HS Exclusive in nice shiny black.

its an oddity with the new mini specs, the monochrome it doent have heated steering wheel, on other models the heated seats are part of the level 1 pack. i almost ordered the monochrome as i can live without the heated steering wheel but you cant play music from a usb now on minis theyre for charging only. so as all my music is on usb’s now i went for the ev4.

the se all 4 classic does have heated steeering wheel but the seats are level 1.

The Monochrome Countryman comes with heated chairs but not the steering wheel, if you want either on an E or SE Classic, you’ll have to specify the “Level 1” option package. Which does add some niceties such as the heated chairs and wheel, LED Matrix headlights which are much better than the standard ones, keyless entry and most importantly, the pop-up head-up display which means that you don’t have to keep glancing to the left to check your speed on the main circular display. The Achilles heel with the SE ALL4 is that the range drops compared to the E and the efficiency also plummets thanks to the AWD system. You’ll get 240 miles tops if you’re lucky from the average 80% charge.

Not kind of MB related, but I am thinking of getting an Electric Countryman SE Exclusive for the wife.

This one – https://www.sytner.co.uk/vehicle-details/f68c2a9e-9b18-4a38-9a97-42eae9dbb75a is one of the ones we are looking at with a view to it being the main car should I decide to come off MB in 2028 and I would then get a second hand car.

I know I have to do my own research but what is the general consensus of the Electric Countryman? I know a few of you were seriously considering it.

We looked for my kid’s car last month and out of curiosity I popped into Mini. I am sure it my personal opinion,  but level 3 countryman looked very cheap: the buttons,  the plastic around… Huge disappointment,  as I was hoping cometh middle life crisis and I would get one in green.

i had a 3dr cooper 7 two cars ago followed by a countryman s exclusive petrol before the juke.

i loved them both if i leave mota which i probably will after the ev4 i will look for a 2nd hand countryman with the usb ports that allow you to play music 2024 or earlier i think. even in the petrol i was getting over 40mpg.

i test drove the electric s and the all 4 se and the monochrome, the s was the poorer ride due to the sports set up but still much better than the cupras i tested. i just like the trims and the screens. i know the new ones are all screen controls but even i found them easy to use and for the most part you set them and forget i am not one to keep messing with the heating etc. the hud was easy to set. for my needs space and boot were more than enough not sure about if you have wheelchairs/scooters etc.
