So head in for Enyaqs first service, I booked in 4 weeks ahead, told them courtesy car and if not ev then auto.

Get there this morning after being made to wait 15 mins I get we’ve only got a manual and your licence says you can drive manuals. I booked for an automatic. Yes well cars sell was the reply, wow.

So I say “legally” yes, safety for myself and others for a longer journey then, no.

They go off to “find” and auto then SURPRISE puts me in the car reg they accidentally supplied when  “checked in” online 2 days ago.

Someone was lying about it or trying to put me off? I dunno but very fishy

Then I get told it’ll be done by 5, you’re putting 5.4.3 on it plus service your other staff say it’s a 2 day booking, no it’s fine it’ll be done today….. (Well that’s jinxed it)

30 miles each way to the dealer and of course the things running on fumes because why wouldn’t it be?Left my Enyaq on 90+% charge so we will see how it comes back.

Got signs everywhere leave us a 5 star review on trustpilot – not likely after that.

Shame they’re more worried about telling me they don’t wash your car anymore than anything else. At least they didn’t try and upsell me and Aircon service or other stuff MB doesn’t pay for I was expecting that.

Be interesting when I get the call as 30 miles or about an hour to get there (30 miles pots of C roads, then roadworks in city) so if they don’t call early enough they’ll be shut before I can get there and after a lifetime of main dealers I never leave to collect before they call, had too many wastes of time journeys.

Yeah first world problems etc etc just when you do all that’s expected of you then they screw it up it’s really frustrating. I don’t suppose it’s the worst experience people have had lol.

        Lmao

Just got a call apparently despite it being booked in for software update they weren’t doing them until today….

No one told me this despite that’s what it was also booked in for.

Now she says yeah 2 days. What mess basic communication utterly rubbish. If I have to get another service think I’ll try somewhere else. After the great sales dept…. Mind you isn’t that the way.

You need 4 new tyres, yes I told you that I had them checked they said come back in 2 weeks, a week later and dealer says cords showing new tyres. Amazing how something so objective has become subjective with differing opinions from site to site

What Skoda dealership was this ? I’m pretty sure you can change your dealership to any Skoda one that provides motability. If you have to deal with them again and there’s other local ones around it may be worth changing.

Same problem for me during my service. It’s just over a twos hours drive there and back. During booking I made it clear I will need an auto. Drive down go through booking and get brought out to courtsey car, open door and it’s a manual. Tell the guy I can’t drive it, he asks is my license a manual only, to which I replied doesn’t matter I can’t use a drive it.

Looks at me as if I’ve two heads and says sure we’ll have it done in a few hours, sure you can wait. A few hours says I, what, a full service a door that rattles badly and you don’t know what is causing it, I don’t think so. So off I go home with my rattlin car. I didn’t even tell him that my license is reduced to auto.

                Happily, this was

                Group1 auto particularly Skoda Norwich.

I have no knowledge of Wings Skoda in Kings Lynn but my advice if you are near either try Wings.

It’s a shame I highly recommended Group1 after ordering my Enyaq, they automatically cancelled and reordered to save me £700 too.

So now apparently they’re doing the update tomorrow weirdly the car is unlocked, windows down and boot open. I hope it’s indoors LOL

I just got a notification that plug and charge certificate was cancelled. Just checked on the car and it’s now showing 5.4.3 not 4.1.2 so looks like it’s done.

These car companies really need to learn how to do software updates

For anyone interested the software update was fine and aside from having to sign in again that was it.  Just have to have a play around as icons have been moved etc so don’t be surprised
