Just a thought, but why the need for such a new car and is an EV practical? For a relatively new driver, the pressure of a very new / expensive car is not something that they’d all want, especially when parking on streets in typical student accommodation areas. Also, I doubt that much uni accommodation has charging facilities, so reliance on public charging wipes out the running cost savings of an EV.
As the biggest cost of any car is depreciation, wouldn’t it be better to buy an older ICE car (say 4/5 years old) which would be perfectly reliable and total cost of ownership would be a lot less than running a new / nearly new EV – and no charging challenges?
