Are Motability aware? If so I would push for the car to be handed back on safety grounds and if needed loss of confidence in the vehicle.
I was under the impressin MG had got ontop of this with a software update and or a replacement 12v battery and or a faulty relay ccording to forums last year.
Perhaps request its moved to another deaer for reassessment.
