I read that article, to say it was poorly written is an understatement. They stated at the end the current VED exemptions including disabled vehicles but weren’t clearly stating whether that meant an exemption from the 3ppm or not. There’s a possibility that I didn’t read it correctly (it’s hard when there’s so many ads) and it seems logical that if it’s being branded as an additional VED, we’ll be exempt but if it’s a replacement for excise duties that are inflicted upon fossil fuels, it shouldn’t be exempted in the same way disabled people don’t get a 50% refund on their petrol costs.
