@DougieB have you asked if you are allowed to do this via Motability?
It;s just a case of getting a ceramic coating and just slapping it on. There is a lot of work involved in the whole process Dougie. The paint need a lot of preparation prior to appling the caramic coating. I would advise that you look to having it done professional. Costs in my area aroun £500 to 700.
Look on youtube to see what is involved is my advice, and gety permission from Motability first.
