Coming up to 2 years with the car now. All in all, quite easily the most disappointing car I’ve had the misfortune of driving! The niggles are far too numerous to go into in detail. Save to say, there are many lol. First and foremost, the ownership experience has been wrecked by just how poorly executed the whole car is. The software onboard is about as reliable as a snakes bowel movement. 8 – I repeat – 8 recalls in a two year period simply isn’t acceptable. It will be back in tomorrow for a new battery ( not the EV one). The ride is terrible. almost like being on a trampoline doing 50MPH. For a massive car it’s very cramped inside for the occupants. Boot not very capacious. The driver safety features are fiendish and intrusive to the point of being downright dangerous. Every one has to be disengaged on every occasion upon starting. Cue every CX60 owner sitting blankly for a full minute whilst sifting the menus. Computer says can’t be switched off or setting stored in memory. Positives – frugal when running on ICE ( bearing in mind it’s 340BHP!) HUGELY POWERFUL but completely unable to put the power through the wheels without scrabbling. Good job I drive like Reginald Molehusband. For a £55K car it’s hopeless. To think I traded my daughter’s 12 year old up turned pram Fiat 500 for it!! Anyone thinking of getting one – DON’T. There are many better cars available. 4 out of 10
I take it you viewed and test drove the vehicle checked it meet your needs ?
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
