Posted today on the usual Motability related fb groups, Motorvogue Hyundai in Norwich are offering a net £500 off all Hyundai Tucsons registered by the end of 2024, so possibly stock and pipeline vehicles (or possibly a quick new build) but as it says ‘October Special Offer’ probably needs ordering this month:

October 11, 2024 at 4:22 pm #290783The facelift Tucson a good deal this quarter with a saving of £1600 compared to the previous. £500 from Motorvogue makes it a bargain if you opt for the HEV/PHEV, especially whn I paid £2100 more 😡
October 11, 2024 at 5:58 pm #290788We just ordered one without the £500 discount but at least we got the colour and interior we wanted. X
October 12, 2024 at 10:34 am #290820Not sure where they are getting that figure of 75 miles from..quite a bit higher than the 100km/62 miles on Skoda website

Just to show how these offers can work out.
Re the Tucson offer above, a friend contacted me to say he printed the offer page and went down to his local Hyundai dealer this morning and asked them to match the £500 discount offer – which after consultation with the branch manager they have.
He is well chuffed having now ordered a new green/grey Tucson PHEV Ultimate AWD Auto for £403 AP with the NVP and discount. It is apparently a ‘pipeline’ car with delivery in 4 weeks.
So, even if the posted offers are not near you, always see if your local dealer will match it. If they won’t try other nearby dealers – hopefully one will bite.
P.S. – didn’t intend to pee you off Kezo – just posting to show how offers may be honoured at other dealerships as well.

Agreed. With our last car (BMW X1) there was a £500 discount off the AP at Marshalls. Our local BMW dealership isn’t part of that chain and said that they weren’t doing offers, so I said I was more than happy to travel for a £500 saving. Needless to say, they matched the offer plus gave me 15% off the options as well!
@kezo I feel your pain as we got caught this time as well. I take some comfort that had we ordered just a few months earlier than we did, we would have paid £600 more again and got the pre-facelift car. Compared to its peers (certainly when considering standard equipment levels) the Tucson still seemed pretty good value at the £4,699 AP (pre £750 new car discount) but at the current £2,999 it’s a bargain by todays standards of Motability APs, especially if you can get the extra £500 off.October 12, 2024 at 4:41 pm #290870Would you be kind enough to break that £403 AP price down as i only see the ultimate PHEV for £2999.
I am in n.ireland so the chances of one of the few dealers here matching that are remote but if you don’t ask then you will never know i guess.

I’m a great believer in your thread and grateful for the time you put into it. Although you wern’t able to help me this time, I was able to help my mum secure a discount on a Kona ev by doing exactly what you describe here.
As for me, I’m peed off myself with the hefty reduction in AP, especially as retail price has increased slightly, thus none of it makes sense but, riles are rules!
I take it, the friend you are talking about, was the one we discussed the other day?

The confusion is because @BigDave is quoting the War Pensioners rates. They pay lower APs because they sacrifice a higher level of benefits than those in receipt of PIP (so the overall outlay is the same). The AP for War Pensioners is £1653. The £403 comes from deducting the £750 New Car Payment plus the £500 discount.

Thank you for clearing that up.
