Economy improves after 1,000 miles, as it did with my previous Tucson. Yes, when the car goes into Hev mode it charges the battery and does short bursts in electric, as a full hybrid would. With the phev, it also builds up enough battery, through regen braking etc, to travel 2-3 miles on electric, every so often, as you have noticed.
Yes the tank hold 42l, Today filling up from a quarter and put 29.27l (6.43 gallons) @ £135.5l. However, I’m not expecting class leading economy over the 450+ miles travelled, due to how I drove😂 I’ll work it out tomorrow!
I’ll be shocked if your journey yesterday only netted 37mpg. The first trip 320 mile trip, I did within a fortnight of having the car did more than that and I only charged one way, as my parents didn’t have a charger fitted at that time.
I’m 100% sure mine has alway shown mid to high 400’s from the very first time, I filled the tank, on the day I got it, as the tight arses only put £20 in. I will double check my spread sheet tomorrow.
I can’t say I have seen any “Live Dynamic” pop up? Can’t remember what my exact settings are, other than bass is cranked up high. I find the Krell system in this one much better, than the Krell system in my previous Tucson. I think that is down to better soundproofing of the doors and the middle speaker being larger.
