I don’t own one but I had a two hours long unaccompanied test drive in one a few weeks ago.
This was because the Scenic E Tech I’d booked hadn’t been returned on time 🤦
Personally I didn’t like it. The ride was jittery and there was far too much tyre noise. Some of the interior plastics felt cheap. Very small boot
By the time I got back to the Renault dealer, the Scenic had been returned, so off I went for another hour or so.
This was a far better car and I was pleasantly surprised by the interior quality and materials. The ride was still a bit firm and skittery for my liking but the mid range Techno Alpine has ridiculous 20″ wheels as standard. However, I’d decided that I could live with that by the end of the test drive. Good tech with lots of standard features
When I got back in our BMW i4, I realised how much nicer the BMW was in every way.
Try a Megane for yourself but then compare it with a Scenic and you’ll see and feel the difference immediately. The mid range Scenic is startlingly good value currently, with an AP of ÂŁ995.
With regards to range in the Scenic, the Guessometer was saying 275 miles at 75%, so in this regard, far better than the BMW. I think over the test drive, the efficiency was running at about 3.9 miles/kWh, but I wasn’t trying for economy. It was also one of those very warm days.
