How longs a piece of string really, they will keep increasing so long as people keep paying. It strikes me we, as customers, are missing a few tricks I.e. why do people pay deposits- no requirements with motorbility. If the dealerships say we can’t order one without a deposit just tell them ok I will go elsewhere. There lack of sales will change there minds. After all we can order a vehicle from any dealership in uk, pick it up then transfer the maintenance to a local garage. Believe me they ain’t going to refuse it! We should all read the motability scheme ordering process

What exactly do you mean? The AP is a deposit? We don’t need to pay it?

The AP is not a deposit, it is an advanced payment to off set the cost of the car against your monthly payment made by motorbility.

It’s due on collection of the car after your happy with the car and agree to commence the lease agreement.

Any dealership telling you you have to pay it on ordering is talking out there hat!

Please read the terms of the lease.
