That’s the point wmc, I don’t think David fully underestands how Motability work!
If Audi UK not the dealer have enough retail order’s for the new model, the 45 may not make it onto the scheme for several months after it has been released. If this happens, as we have seen before with other manufacturers Motability orders will be cancelled.
If the 45 indeed makes it to the scheme under a new model number, we can only guess Audi will honour orders till the sart of week 44 for the 40 and upgrade them to the 45. Motability will then list the 45 as a new model along with 40 (stock only) on the scheme. The AP for the 45 could increase we don’t know yet! and be listed seperately to the remaining 40 stock at the current price. Equally Motability could decide to cancel those with orders in because, the 45 as a different order reference see @Glos Guy ‘s post.
At this stage all you can do is (a) hope the 45 makes it to the scheme (b) Audi UK allow those who have ordered the 4o, to be upgraded to the 45 FOC and Motability allow the 45 order ref to be carries over to existing factory order.
@David you dealer know diddly squat and is only guessing at this what will happen and will no nothing untill told by Audi UK & Motability who are the ones who actually do the negotiations. The dealer is just a middleman taking orders on behalf of Motability 🙂
